If you like sociable daytime activities, quality evening entertainment with great shows and the opportunity for dancing most evenings, if you like good food, friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely indoor spa at no extra cost, then this is the hotel for you (but don't tell anyone else!) We have been coming to this hotel for a number of years (along with many other returners, which in itself is an indicator of a great hotel) and are very happy to continue doing so into the foreseeable future. There will always be reviews from unhappy people who grumble about having to wear long trousers for dinner etc etc, or the sun lounger system which though not seen anywhere else that we've stayed, really saves the hassle of scrambling for new ones every morning of your stay. We have tried other hotels in the past, and researched countless others, but this is the only one which ticks all our boxes.

First impressions were great. Lovely, clean hotel which smells divine on entry. Beautiful grounds and gorgeous pool. You are given a tag to put on a sunbed which is then yours for the week - strange, but seems to work. However, this hotel’s policies are very outdated and I would go as far as to say discriminating. It’s slightly irritating to keep being “told off” First for not showering before entering the pool, then for having a coffee round the pool ;which was removed as it wasn’t in a plastic cup - I wasn’t offered a plastic cup, However the most upsetting part for me was being turned away from the buffet restaurant because the men in the group were wearing tailored shorts (with shirts and looked very smart)! We were told there was a ‘no shorts’ for men policy in the evening. We were not told about this on arrival neither were we informed by the travel company. Women, myself included were wearing shorts (denim/bum cheeks out/scruffy) etc and were allowed to come and go as they pleased! The first night we saw two men in shorts who were clearly not challenged. I feel this is outdated and left a very bad taste in my mouth. I will not be staying here again.

Well, what can I say? On arrival, first impressions are great. But as they say, don't be fooled by first impressions! Whilst on the surface, the hotel is clean, the hallways smell beautiful and the breakfast is divine, this hotel's outdated and gender discriminative policies really let the whole thing down. We came here as a couple along with another couple (4 in total). I have to agree with previous reviews that the hotel is not necessarily geared towards families of four. Not many tables set up for four etc. but nothing to cry home about. The pool bed reservation system is a bit to get used to, but works I guess. But totally geared towards our cousin's across the sea in Germany. I would say this is a recurring theme for this hotel, it doesn't seem very open to all cultures and is highly geared to just the one. Be sure to shower before entering the pool at any rate, the pool guy is quick to insist that you do and tell you off. Another example of a silly, authoritarian rule which seems to be the top of this hotel's priority list for some reason. Let's talk about the trousers rule. So, I completely understand looking smart for dinner, no vests, no swim shorts or flipflops. However, I don't agree that the staff at this hotel target only men for this very rediculous rule. If this was the Ritz, I'd understand, but it's a buffet dinner. (With very limited choices I might add). One night, after observing a gentlemen at dinner in his shorts the night before, my group are directed to leave the buffet dinner as we had entered in our tailored shorts and shirts. Refused entry. On speaking with reception staff, we inform them that as we are on holiday, we only had the trousers we travelled in, we were told tough, it's hotel policy. A policy that was neither shared by your operator or the hotel themselves on check in (photo of the poster outside the buffet room) . Furthermore, to view numerous ladies in short skirts, sandals, and short shorts!!! Being allowed to waltz in and out without any challenge by any of the staff is a real insult and begs belief. In fact, when I raised this and said if I had come down in a dress would I be allowed in, I was told yes?! Rediculous. Outdated. Discrimination. It's a real shame because the hotel is beautiful, and most staff are friendly. I just don't understand why they insist on being so rigid with some very outdated principles. Won't visit again.

Have just come back from 7 days in this adults only amazing hotel. Staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly. Food was amazing and so much choice, nothing was too much trouble. The spa was lovely and free, Pools were spotless as were surrounding areas. Gardens are beautifully kept, which lead out to a very clean beach. Highly recommend. Can't wait to book again.

Our second visit to Gran Canaria and first at this hotel but we had a good time. As someone who normally reads the reviews i thought I'd actually do one. Regarding this hotel , i read the reviews from the last 12 months and i have to say most of the good points raised and some not so good i have to agree with. It's a very nice hotel with splendid views of the sea. Excellent facilities and the food was very nice. Most of the staff were pleasant and we enjoyed the entertainment. Service was a little slow at the bar but it did seem that there was a shortage of staff at times and they were struggling. I did chuckle at a couple of recent reviews on here regarding the trouser policy which was enforced during our stay. Whilst I'm sure the hotels intention was to make meal times a little smarter it was clear that most younger gentlemen hadn't brought long trousers on holiday with them so opted for tracksuit bottoms or whatever they could lay there hands on in the local shops. Overall an enjoyable week. I noticed recently that someone reviewed this hotel after only 4 days of being here :-) !! not sure that helps anyone , but my advice would be to read the reviews over the last year or so and you will know what to expect.

We are staying here for 2 weeks at the moment on an all inclusive plus basis and have no complaints at all. Fabulous 5* hotel with all the facilities you could want. This is our second stay here and are already looking at changing the booked holiday to Portugal next year to come back here! The dress code is clearly pointed out at reception when you check in and actually we don't have a problem with dressing for dinner, it brings a certain classiness to the hotel. We've been here 4 days and flew with Jet2 from Bournemouth and have nothing but praise for all the Jet2 staff from the minute we arrived at the airport to landing in Las Palmas and getting on the express transfer 20 minutes down the road to the hotel. The Bull Costa Canaria has everything you need in a relaxing holiday and the bonus of an indoor pool and spa, I can recommend Fatima and the Scenes of Arabia massage that I had today. All in all a fabulous hotel, I suggest you ignore any detrimental reviews!!!

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights in September 2025. The room was nice and comfortable , food was good and we enjoyed all the activities on offer tennis , gym , spa and especially the aqua aerobics. The pool bar is nice and evening's were very chilled listening to some relaxing music over a drink , unfortunately in plastic cups. ( acceptable in the day but not at night) The hotel is impressive and kept very clean and although we managed to have a good time the holiday was spoilt a little by a few things. Bar service in the main entertainment area is shocking and for the first few days of our stay they refused to serve at the bar only providing table service which was painfully slow and non existent at times. They did start serving at the bar eventually after some complaints. Some of the staff around the hotel were a little frosty and didn't manage a smile very much although a few were nice and cheerful. Food was very enjoyable but several times we had to sit at tables which weren't prepared and fetch our own cutlery because they were the only one's available. Food choice did tend to get a little low around 8-30pm. Halfway through our holiday on the 15th September the hotel brought in a long trouser only policy for men in the dining room at dinner which didn't go down well at all . ( Not mentioned on hotel website) The manageress was challenging people in the restaurant (myself included) during the meal for wearing dress shorts although others wearing tracksuit bottoms appeared to be ok. (Bizarre) We were very upset by the incident and later in the evening the manageress came back to us to apologise. There was no mention anywhere on the hotel website that dress policy was changing on 15th September. Myself and several others had to go out and purchase trousers to avoid further conflict. Hotel is perfectly positioned on the sea front and we spent a lot of time enjoying the waves. Far too many issues here for me to return.

Mostly OK but could be perfect. Wouldn’t recommend BULL hotels as their policies are pathetic. Tuesdays is Pool Police day - heaven forbid you step into the pool without showering (which no other pool attendant cares about - they even state the beds are perfect for stepping into and out of the pool. This is why they have chlorine. Aged 60 and some jobs worth tells us off for having a saucer with our coffee. Why is this our fault??? Speak to bar staff that asked where we sitting. Only got told on Tuesdays when Jose the Pool ar5ewipe was on duty. He was so rude. Started off thinking this was a great hotel but it took a nosedive. Not only did the above happen but a couple we met checked out of their rooms at 11am and were not being picked up until 7pm. They were told to continue having drinks and lunch. However they went to order a pizza but were told they couldn’t because they had checked out. Seriously! How much does a pizza cost? BULL hotels need to seriously look at their policies. This has left a sour taste. For the sake of a rotten pool member of staff and a pizza, we will never come back to BULL hotels nor recommend. We have stayed in many different hotel chains and when in all inclusive you can use all facilities until you leave. But not so with Bull hotels. You have spoiled what could’ve been a great hotel
